Lacy Hazelbaker

Lacy Hazelbaker is a 2019 graduate of Rogers New Technology High School and a 2023 graduate of the University of Arkansas. She has an undergraduate degree in English Education and a minor in Communication. In the 2023-2024 school year she taught 11th grade English at Pea Ridge High School. Every summer since 2021, Lacy has been a part of the Residential Staff for Upward Bound. She has lived in Futrall Hall with the amazing Upward Bound students, building strong relationships through mentor activities and countless games of ping pong. Some of her favorite memories come from hosting Dungeons and Dragons games in the Futrall lobby. She is thrilled to be joining the year-round staff as an Academic Advisor. As a first-generation college student herself, Lacy has fallen in love with the program and its goals. She is passionate about being able to provide support to students who struggle with the same barriers that she had to overcome on her path to becoming a college graduate.
