Kristi Turner

Kristi Turner brings a wealth of real-world experience to her role as an instructor with the Upward Bound Program. She teaches College and Career Readiness and Financial Literacy during the summer, and leads workshops on résumé and cover letter creation as part of the program's summer sessions.

After spending two decades in the business sector, Kristi transitioned into education, bringing with her a practical understanding of the skills and knowledge students need to succeed beyond the classroom. Her professional background offers students a unique and valuable perspective on college preparation and career development. Kristi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri and earned her teaching certification through the APPEL (Arkansas Professional Pathway to Educator Licensure) program.

Outside of the classroom, Kristi enjoys spending time with her family. She loves hanging out with her husband and her daughter, who is currently attending graduate school at the University of Arkansas. She also enjoys traveling to Florida to visit her older daughter, who works for both Disney and Universal. A passionate reader, Kristi has set a personal goal to read five books each month.
