Aaron Smiley

Aaron teaches mathematics and French at Haas Hall Academy Bentonville, where he has taught everything from Pre Algebra to Precalculus and Statistics. He has always thought that math is the coolest thing in the world, and is excited about the opportunity to share math with others through Upward Bound. Aaron studied pure mathematics at the University of Arkansas. He loves to help young people see math in a completely different way. One of his favorite quotes, inspired by mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss is “Think deeply of simple things,” which he believes encapsulates the essence of what we do when we do mathematics. Apart from mathematics, Aaron enjoys playing the saxophone, studying French and hanging out with his dog, Seven.
